We're a local Illawarra team who care about doing every job properly. Behind every install is a crew that knows its stuff, looks out for each other and takes pride in leaving your home neat, safe and running the way it should. Here are the people you'll meet.
1. Connor – Apprentice Connor is a master of precision. His solar work on the roof is careful and delicate, with every panel and cable run placed exactly where it should be. He's always happy and ready with a smile, and he's the undisputed moustache champion of the crew.
2. Adam – Soon-to-be Apprentice Adam already has plenty of experience on the roof and is about to start his apprenticeship. He's always looking for the next thing to do, so he never needs to be asked twice. He's fun to be around, he has a great smile, and we love having him on the team.
3. Dalene – Operations Dalene keeps the whole operation moving. Along with Marcel, she manages our daily operations and reviews every system design before it reaches your roof. If your install ran smoothly from booking to completion, Dalene had a hand in it.
4. Marcel – Senior Electrician Marcel is our solution man. He tackles our most complex installations, from tricky roof layouts to switchboards with no obvious path, as well as the software hiccups that come with modern battery systems. Safety and security come first for him every time, and he hasn't met a problem he couldn't solve.
5. Brendan – Head Installer, Solar & Battery Certified Brendan's attention to detail and thoroughness set the standard on every install he leads. Customers love him because he takes the time to explain their new system properly before he leaves. He's a dad of three who loves life in the Gong, and he's a fantastic recent addition to the team.
6. Kaleb – Installer Kaleb is a creative thinker. When a job throws up something unexpected, he's usually the first one with a smart idea to get around it. That makes him a real asset on the installs that don't go by the book.
7. Kye – Apprentice Electrician Kye is one of our longest-standing apprentices and he's not far off becoming a fully qualified electrician. His appetite for learning has no limit, and he's become a go-to on site for technical questions. We hope he stays with us for as long as he's happy here.
8. Bronwyn – Solar Installer, Final-Year Apprentice Bronwyn is our longest-serving solar installer and is now in the final year of her apprenticeship. Her troubleshooting skills are incredible, and despite her young age she's the one we rely on when a problem needs solving. Away from work she loves country music and a good wedding celebration with her husband, and she's always on the lookout for some fun.
9. Nat – Director Nat leads Solahart Illawarra with one simple rule: do the right thing by the customer, even when it's the harder path. You'll often find her on site on install day, checking that every detail matches what was promised.
10. Dan – Senior Installer, Solar & Battery Certified Dan joined us from Victoria and fitted in from day one. He's a solar and battery certified senior installer who brings years of hands-on experience and a calm, methodical approach to every job. He moved to the Gong for love, and he's since proposed to the local girl he moved for, so we think he's here to stay.
Toolbox talks Every week the whole team gets together for a toolbox talk to go over safety, upcoming jobs and lessons from recent installs. It's how we make sure every customer gets the same high standard, whoever is on their roof.
